Day 1: Hello, Dalhousie! (Drive from Pathankot to Dalhousie (85 km/approx. 3 hours)

This day marks the beginning of a splendid vacation in the Himachal land. Start your vacation by embarking upon a road trip to the captivating hill station of Dalhousie. Residing across five hills this upland is a hit among tourists owing to its snow-capped mountains and dense forests of pines and oaks.
Named after Lord Dalhousie, this small town was once one of the most prominent summer retreats to British officers and bureaucrats, and the colonial houses and graceful churches are a good showcase of the bygone era.
Upon your arrival at Dalhousie, check into your hotel and get some rest. The rest of the day is at leisure. Spend your time taking a walk on the tree-shaded lanes and visit the nearby market. Head to the G.P.O. Area and find yourself lost in a riot of colors. The handicrafts emporia have great options for gifts and souvenirs as does the Tibetan market. Step out of these places, and you will be surrounded by a host of eateries offering local delicacies.

Day 2: Oh, Dalhousie, you beauty! (Sightseeing in Dalhousie)
Wake to a serene morning and help yourself to some scrumptious breakfast at your hotel. This exciting day takes you on a full-day sightseeing tour at Dalhousie.
Begin your trip with a stopover at a mesmerizing spot that hosts many natural water springs, Panchpula. Dip your fingers in Satdhara, an important spring in the vicinity, believed to have medicinal properties. Thereafter, make a spot at the famous monument that was created in memory of Sardar Ajit Singh, a great freedom fighter.
Your next visit for the day will be Subhash Baoli. What was once a haven for Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose in 1937, is now a prominent picnic spot. Its captivating view of the mighty snow-capped mountains and soaring trees is known to attract tourists and locals alike. Next enjoy a pleasant ride through the thick forests of Ahla village and reach the Bhulwani Mata Temple at Bara Pathar. No tour to Dalhousie is complete without a witnessing an enthralling view of the milky white peaks at the Bakrota Hills.
The day ends with a delectable dinner, after which you will head to your hotel to get some rest for the night. Overnight stay at Dalhousie.
